STATEMENT FROM 2007 GOP FREEHOLDER CANDIDATE PAUL DUGGAN:  "The ink on this years election results is barely dry and the Democrat controlled Freeholder board is at it again. They could not even wait until the new year, before they put their hands in the tax payer 'Cookie jar'.

"The hard pressed Bergen middle class are no match for  well oiled and corrupt county machine.

"The Bergen taxpayers are not being well served by the lack of oversight and fiducery duty.

"What is truly amazing is the lack of leadership from the lone  elected  Republican in the county. A refusal to accept two pay increases would have been the right  and proper thing to do."
