At the annual reorganization of the Board of Freeholders, the Democrats made Tomas J. Padilla the Freeholder Chair tonight and Freeholder Elizabeth Calabrese Vice-Chair.  Curiously, neither incumbent whose term expires this year was put in a leadership position. Freeholders Bernadette McPherson and David Ganz remain simply Freeholders.

Padilla was sworn into office by United States Senator Bob Menendez. Sheriff Leo McGuire had Senator Frank Lautenberg do the honors.
