The Bergen Democrats aren’t really into this “change” thing. After all, 70% of the Democratic ticket in 2008 has been there and done that. And Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly won Bergen County on February 5^th, even if she doesn’t make it past next week.

But locally, the only change in the Democratic slate is found in those running against GOP incumbents, Rep. Scott Garrett in the 5^th CD and Kathe Donovan for County Clerk.

The Democratic ticket selected at the BCDO convention last night is:

Frank Lautenberg for US Senate

Steve Rothman (in the 9^th CD) and Dennis Shulman (5^th CD) for US Congress

Diane Testa for County Clerk

and

David Ganz for Freeholder

Bernedette McPherson for Freeholder

and Vernon Walton for Freeholder

And with the BCDO ticket mostly made up of Clinton backing incumbents, their 2008 slogan should be: “No Change, We Hope”…
