GULACK WIMPS OUT: “I won’t be there if she doesn’t (let me) come.”

Weinberg ally and Fairlawn County Committeeman Robert Gulack failed to show up for Boss Joe Ferriero’s invitation to an unrestricted platform Thursday night before the Democrat’s By-Laws Committee where Ferriero said Gulack was welcome to present his “reform agenda” out in the open. Gulack has been attacking Ferriero for not doing this for months. While many were amazed that Ferriero gave "Grassroots Reformer" Gulack a soapbox on which to stand, even more where shocked that Gulack got cold feet and would not get up on it.

Some believe it is strange that Gulack never hesitates to show up on a regular basis for county committee meetings with his band of a dozen or so protestors to attack Ferriero for a lack of openness, but when presented with the chance, Gulack would not push the his agenda in a less vitriolic manner.  (In the video below, Gulack is the one in the tie and black overcoat.)

"I think he just likes to hear himself chant," said one insider.

So why didn’t Gulack show?  Work?  Family? A personal problem? Actually, it was none of those. Gulack said he would not attend if Loretta Weinberg could not be there. And reportedly as soon as Gulack finished saying that, Weinberg called in sick from the “reform” crusade for Thursday night.

The whole thing left Democratic insiders questioning how Gulack thinks he can lead a Party as its Chair when he can’t make an appearance without picketers behind him or cut the apron strings to the woman in his political life. It also, paradoxically, seems like Weinberg may be “bossing” her man around if he can’t go out, even for an hour or two, without her or her supporters.
