Wildes won’t challenge Rothman without BCDO line

With the BCDO line going back to Senator Frank Lautenberg and Congressman Steve Rothman, Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes told Inside Bergen via e-mail tonight that he is not going to challenge Congressman Steve Rothman by running on a line with Senate candidate Rob Andrews.
“My staff had my petitions signed and notarized and ready to file at a moments notice. We also have a series of fundraisers in the works. Maybe I’ll keep some of those dates,” said Wildes. “But the reality is, I would need the line to defeat Steve.”
Wildes already has nearly $600,000 in a campaign account dedicated to a future congressional race.
