Weinberg’s Teaneck Municipal Committee “Majority” shut out Orthodox “Minority” tonight

Tonight is the religious holiday “Shavuot” for Orthodox Jews, and therefore they are unable to participate in political meetings.  But that was of little concern to the Majority of the Teaneck Democratic County Committee controlled by Loretta Weinberg when they scheduled the reorganization of the Municipal Committee for this evening.

The Orthodox Minority elected last Tuesday, June 3rd expressed dismay through spokesperson Yitz Stern, who had tried several times, unsuccessfully, to get a response from Weinberg ally, Real Bergen Democrat and Teaneck Municipal Chairman Paul Cunningham.  Stern wanted the Teaneck reorganization moved to an earlier time so all elected municipal committee members could participate.

Stern wrote to Cunningham that the Orthodox members of the committee are feeling “very disenfranchised” about not being permitted to exercise their right to vote.

Stern rhetorically asked: “Is this how the Real Bergen Democrats act when they are ‘the bosses’”?
